You're definitely going to need something bright and breezy, especially if your ship will be docking at the most glamorous beach destinations this summer.....You have all probably got all your bikinis already, but you’re going to need more than that. Take a look at my wardrobe basics for this kind of getaway. Below is a list of what I will be packing this year, hope these tips help ladies.....
Caftans or tunics. Just toss it over pants or shorts and you already have a casual but fabulous look going. If you’re opting for caftans and tunics in plain colours, cinch them in with a thick embellished belt to enhance the outfit. Let one side slip over your shoulder for a sultry style. You can also wear a bikini top underneath.
A wide-brimmed hat. Preferably something woven. It will help keep the rays from scorching your face while still letting a little sunlight in to make you glow. Don’t just choose a plain hat. Pick one with flowers or beads for extra detail and let the hat be the highlight of your look.
A halter top. Or even a short halter dress, preferably in bright colors or with bold patterns. It will look summery but unbelievably gorgeous. This would look perfect while hanging out on deck or enjoying a walk during one of your stops. But remember not to wear them in the ship’s dining area. Most cruise ships would prefer you dress appropriately, especially on smart casual and formal evenings.
A selection of dresses. Ideally, you should bring an evening gown for formal dinners on board, cocktail dresses for more informal events, and sundresses for casual dining. You’re going to want to look particularly glamed up for black tie affairs on the ship.
Chunky Jewellery. Bangles, necklaces, earrings, you name it. If you’re going to be in light outfits most of the time, you don’t have to stick to looking plain. Dress up your appearance a bit by draping long necklaces around your neck, putting on beaded earrings, and slipping on some thick bracelets, but never use all of them at the same time.
Don’t forget to bring more athletic gear and everyday clothes. You’re going to want to try out all the activities on board, and you could definitely use these clothes if you want to work out, participate in some sporting activities, or take some classes. This is just a quick guide to what you can take with you on your trip. Play around with clothes and accessories so you’ll look great on the vacation of a lifetime.
